Meet Paul and Eva.  Looking ahead to retirement they wanted to import a large caravan to provide future rental income from their lifestyle block and decided that importing an existing American caravan / travel trailer from the USA was the best option.

Kevin from Cornerstone USA Imports was able to advise them on the make and model to search for.  When they found a 2012 Jayco Jaylight Double-slide Travel Trailer close to Los Angeles USA, Kevin assisted in the brokerage of the deal and gave practical advice on the transfer of the funds to the RV dealer and shipping agent.  He arranged delivery to the port in LA, transit insurance, fumigation and export documentation at a very competitive commercial shipping rate, saving thousands on shipping the caravan to Tauranga, New Zealand.

Upon arrival the caravan was cleared through customs and uplifted from the port then transported to a secure location for subcontractors to undertake the necessary work to bring it up to NZ electrical and gas compliance.  All of this has been directed and arranged by Kevin, including extras like fridge conversion, solar panel installation and a specialist cabinet maker to fit new appliances to existing cabinetry. On completion the caravan was delivered to it’s destination, at which point Kevin’s obligation ceased.

The Caravan will soon have steps, decks and pergolas added to become a fully functioning rental unit
