Keystone Caravan

Jared and Jo Scott contacted Kevin Barnes of Cornerstone USA Imports through his website in mid 2017 regarding the possibility of importing an American caravan for their family.  After numerous phone conversations they decided on a Keystone caravan / travel trailer with bunkroom, having two daughters to consider.

With Kevin’s assistance a Keystone Springdale was found in Santa Fe Springs Los Angeles, USA and as Kevin happened to be traveling to the USA in August he arranged to personally inspect the caravan on their behalf.  After reporting back by phone, he then negotiated a favourable purchase price, which included delivery to his American shipping agent in Los Angeles.

Shipping, insurance and customs clearances were straightforward and managed entirely by Kevin.  Upon arrival in NZ Kevin kept Jared and Jo informed of the progress and involved them in decision-making concerning preferred electrical options, ovens, solar panels and incidentals.

All the costs throughout the project were transparent and he completed all NZ compliance requirements with his local contractors.  The savings made on the shipping alone saved more than his project management fee.
